KG Personnel is looking for Warehouse Operatives in the newly open Distribution Centre in Bedford Area.
You will work as a part of a great team, where you will use your initiative and existing skills to help the Distribution provide a high standard of work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving/Putaway
– Ensuring product is handled and transported in a safe and timely manner.
– Accurately record all receipts/discrepancies
Stock Control
– From time to time assist in the counting of products
Product Handling
– Ensure the handling of all products is carried out to the highest standards of Health and Safety
Picking/Despatch
– Ensure all products are handled in line with customers/client’s specifications
Mechanical Handling Equipment
-Ensure all processes, daily checks, defect reporting, training, and operations are conducted in line with both company and legislative health and safety requirements.
General
-Ensure levels of housekeeping are always maintained to the highest standards.
-Carry out other duties, which from time to time may be reasonably requested from the site management team.
Required qualifications/skills/education.
-Hold a Narrow Aisle and/or Counterbalance truck license.
-Have excellent numeracy, literacy, and organisational skills.
-Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy packages and objects.
-Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
-Flexible to work a variety of shifts and able to work weekends when required.
Contract type: Temp to Perm
Working days: Monday to Friday (Currently, however in the new year it will become a rota ‘5 out of 7’ per week)
Working Hours: 7 am-4 pm (2 x 30 minutes unpaid break)
Hourly Pay Rate: £10.50 (+£0.50 p/h bonus for hours worked after 7 pm)
