KG Personnel is looking for a full-time Warehouse Operative to join one of our Kempston-based clients. You will work as part of a respected technical engineering team responsible for world-class power solutions in the aerospace industry. Our client is a world-recognized designer and manufacturer of power solutions for the Commercial Aviation and Military markets. If you have a keen interest in engineering or have a technical background, this may be a role just for you! Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for:
o Accepting box deliveries and offloading delivery vehicles
o Counting, labeling and visual inspection of incoming parts; receiving goods on the system
o Put away of parts to shelves and racking; cross-dock deliveries for production shortages
o Making kits from metalwork parts
o Consolidation of pallets
o Picking and delivering parts to production, service, and engineering departments in a timely and efficient manner
o Packing spare parts and small DC & Automotive products in boxes
o Assembling shipping crates for larger units
o Blocking and bracing units inside the shipping crates and inside the shipping containers
o Despatch of goods – handing over parcels and loading collection vehicles
o Maintain accurate stock levels and participate in stocktaking duties as required
To be considered for this role you will have:
• To be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads
• A valid FLT license
• previous experience of working in a similar environment
• Good command of written and spoken English; computer skills (MS Office, e-mail, WMS)
• Critical thinking and ability to plan own work efficiently
Working hours/days: Monday to Friday/ 08:00 to 16:30.
Type of contract: Full-time / Temporary
Location: Bedford
Rate of pay: Up to £10.00/h
