KG Personnel is looking for an experienced Bar Manager to manage bar operations for one of our clients based in Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the bar’s policies and procedures and will participate in achieving their revenue objectives. The Bar Manager will ensure that staff remains compliant with all relevant laws and that customers’ needs are promptly met.
Main duties:
Prepare weekly schedules for bartender, bar backup, and server staff to adequately cover all shifts. Provide coverage in case of employee absence and adjust staffing as necessary to meet business demands.
Monitor inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock is maintained and to prevent excess pours or abuse by staff
Oversee cleanliness of staff and physical bar area, paying special attention to possible health hazards and code violations
Review sales and beverage costs, and reconcile any discrepancies in accounting. Ensure proper cash management
Resolve customer complaints promptly and according to company guidelines
Oversee the preparation of beverages and ensure the quality of product served
Proficiency with point-of-sale software
Extensive working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
Knowledge of regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance
Must have a personal licence
Competency in resource management and inventory control
Customer service orientation
Knowledge of basic accounting principles, personnel management, and marketing
Working days/hours: Up to 48 hours/week – Mondays off
Type of contract: Permanent
Salary: £25,000 pa + minimum £2400 from tips per annum
